Ballymena Car Fest, Ballymena, 13-6-09
The latest car show to take place happened today at Ballee playing fields in Ballymena. To be fair the event
was a lot more than a car show with a stunning array of Lorries and tractors adding to the variety of the show. In fact, one photographer commented
that the event was similar to those that you would see in England. This is true and also a great compliment to the organisers efforts. Gone are the
days were only a select section of cars fans were catered for. Now there is something for everyone young and old. The vintage cars, providing a window
into the olden days, were immaculately presented. There were more minis, old and new, than you are ever likely to see in one spot again. Got kids?
Then head over to the bouncy castle and other entertainment available. A special mention also to the man with the owl. Something different to see and
there was a big crowd around him all day.
Big congratulations to the organisers for a super day and also for all the hard work to raise money for charity. Thankfully the forecast rain stayed
away most of the day allowing everyone to enjoy the show. Hopefully this event will return next year.....
