Rally Ireland, Enniskillen/Sligo, 30-1-09
This weekend saw the kick off of Rally Ireland 2009. Thursday evening saw a ceremonial start at the castle
in Enniskillen, driving up through the town for all cars, WRC and the now legendary Group B cars. The main street in Enniskillen drew an excellent
crowd and many drivers left their cars to sign autographs for spectators.
The action really kicked off on Friday, and so did the typical Irish weather. Rain made the stages tricky the whole wekend, and got the better of
some. Loeb and Sordo set their lead quickly and this didnt falter all weekend.
With so many saying they werent going to the stages, and the weather so bad, the turnout was better than I had expected.
