Daikoko Futo Cruise, Yokohama, Japan, 30-8-08
As part of our trip for the D1 drifting we decided to check out the local Japanese cruising scene. Searches
on the internet directed us to a stunning motorway services down by Yokohama docks. The car park which features the obligatory McDonalds is located
off a massive maze of down hill off slip roads!
We turned up on Saturday night with nothing particular organised and still got a very impressive turnout. Impressive as the weather was wet.
Temperatures were still around 30 degrees so it was like having a hot shower. This did not deter the mad hatter locals who got the sound systems,
smoke machines and lasers on the go before cranking up the volume and having a hard core rave in the corner of the car park. Sadly this was the
disabled parking spaces and it wasnt long before a few crazy men in white coats with red glow sticks came along to move them on. Ironically the
security looked more the part for the rave!
