Bilsport Custom Show, Jonkoping, Sweden, 23-3-08
Following a long winter break the Jon44w.Com team are finally back in action bringing you the best modified
car action from home and abroad. After the Passion Show in Belfast last week we travelled north of Europe up to Sweden for the famous Bilsport Custom
Show.
The exact location was in a place called Jonkoping which is around 2 hours north of Gothenburg and not far from the WRC location of Karlstad. The WRC
a few years ago was the last time we were in Sweden and temperatures reached as low as minus 15 degrees! This time around it was not as bad but there
was still plenty of snow and a low of minus 4 degrees. This did not put off anyone from coming along to the massive Elmia exhibition hall to see four
jammed pack halls of entertainment. Two halls had modified cars and two halls had trucks and classic cars.
Outside was the live action arena headlined by Terry Grant. As always he blew the crowd away in his trustworthy legend and TVR in very difficult
conditions. Even when the ice thawed out he was still drifting and diffing from wet to dry surfaces. Backing up Terry was a local motorbike stunt
rider, a team of mini bike racers and an insane monster truck called Thor!
