Cool Nights, Dublin, 25-11-07

Once again it was that time of the year for the annual Cool Nights show in the National Show Centre in Swords, Dublin. The day started off with a convoy from Sprucefield with a lot of the guys and girls from NCC. Then we had a quick stop at Newry for some breakfast and to pick up a few other people and off to Dublin. We arrived around 12pm and got into the show centre to allow people to set up there stands.

The show itself, as usual, was centred on being dark and having neon’s or some sort of lighting from the cars and stands. With a prize being given for best stand at the end of the night, which again was won by Bangor Cruise with their torn inspired stand. Every other site did put in a good effort with all sorts of neon’s and strobes and what have you lighting the cars up. Again there was quite a few promotional ladies there posing for photos with the public or over some cars. This year’s live action show was done by Pro Drift Irl who brought some of their cars and drivers along to show off some drifting skills in what was a tight car park setting. Special guest and announcer was Dan Joyce from Dirty Sanchez and he seemed to enjoy the Irish crowd at the show and also the Irish hospitality in the bar afterwards.

The show itself was attended by some fantastic motors, a lot of them being magazine featured, with this months Modified Motors cover car being on show. This was a wide arched BMW Compact which just looked stunning and was set at the entrance as people came into the show.

The show ran from 5pm to 10pm with a lot of public pouring into the venue from when the doors opened until the end of the show. Afterwards there was the famous after party in one of the bars across town. With a quick stop off at the hotel to get changed and the girls gammed up it was then a dash to the club where every one just got merry, relaxed and ended the night on a high and drunken note.
