Athens Tuning Show, Greece, 30-9-07
The third annual Athens tuning show took place this year at the old airport ex Olympic venue. Amazingly this
fantastic venue is only used by the Athens Tuning Show since the Olympics took place there a number of years ago!
As always the show comprised of a main hall, Max Power stage, outside arena, live action show and a handling circuit. There is always plenty to do for
everyone and this year was no different. Well except for the heat which was very hot and well into the 30`s. Strangely though this is classed as
winter for the locals and they can comfortably wear jeans and jumpers. As is tradition the show was opened by a priest who blessed the venue with holy
water and read from the bible. This was a very strange scene amongst a load of modified cars. Once the formalities were out of the way the tyre
smoking action soon started and who better than Terry Grant to send the place insane.....
Accompanying him in the live action arena were Team Orange from Japan, Rocket Ronnie from England, a Belgian Motorbike stunt team and team Pascal
Ragotto in their Twingo Jet car all the way from France!
