Ford Show, Junction 1, Antrim, 16-9-07
Again the time was upon us for the annual Junction 1 Ford show in Antrim organised by ni-fords.co.uk. The
drive up started off promising but the weather turned for the worse with torrential rain. Thankfully though once the afternoon came it cleared up
nicely and once this happened the cars came with some very clean mk1 and 2 Escorts as well as a lot of Sierra and Escort Cosworths.
A lot of the shoppers came around and mingled with the car owners and it made for a great atmosphere and mix of young and old people. At the end of
the day there was some awards given out. There was also a raffle and auction with some great prizes including ford watches and some very nice whisky
on offer to the highest bidder. With some competitive bidding it made for a good bit of excitement in the crowd.
The car of the show went to a very nice Mk2 RS1800 in white, the owner seemed well pleased with the award for the effort he obviously put into the
machine.
