Pug Fest 2008, Junction 1, 27th April 2008 |
|
Junction one was the venue for this weekends event named ‘Pug fest’ which was a Peugeot show and meet up, with some of Irelands finest examples of the French cars turning up. There was also a few cars from Scottish turning specialist Ecossie which brought over a number of cars from the mainland, one of there cars a yellow 206 won car of the show, the car was totally modded inside and out and was a stunning example of there work. On the other end of the scale there was site members JDNCOKE’s car which sported a cardboard body kit and tinfoil mirrors and other bits suck onto the car, it was done as a bit of fun……

NCC Cruise, East Strand, Portrush, 20th April 2008 |
|
This years North Coast Cruisers Charity event was held at the East Strand car park in Portrush. The event was in aid of the Road trauma support fund and raised over £1000 for the cause, according to early counting of the money. The show itself was packed out with all manner of motors from mad Corsa’s and Clio’s to a huge turn out of Subaru’s and a good number of Lancer Evo’s plus a lot of other makes and models as well. One of the big draws was a VW rat look hearse type motor which was very unusual and a quick talk with the owner showed me that it just wasn’t left to rot and degrade on its own over……

Donny Show,
4 -6th April 2008 |
|
The Donny Show each year sets the standard for the rest of the years modified car shows in the UK, and this year was no different. The 2008 show saw some stunning cars from throughout the UK and it was evident that everyone had been hard at work over the winter months. The show offers something for everyone with the Ice village, the Time Attack, Auto Glym Best of Britain awards and much much more. The weather made this years show a bit quieter than previous ones…….

Ultimate Car Show, Larne,
30th March 2008 |
|
The weekend’s event was the Ultimate car show in Larne. With a lot of talk about how good last years show was, this year had a lot to live up! Thankfully it didn’t disappoint with displays from most major websites and owners clubs on view for all to see. Everything from the new Subaru’s to some old Mk1 and 2 Ford Escorts and everything in-between were there in all their glory. With the weather holding up for most of the day and the sun out everyone was in good form enjoying the day and relaxing. The show organisers put on music and even some Irish dancing from the girls from the local area. Overall there.....

Bilsport Custom Show, Jonkoping, Sweden,
23rd March 2008 |
|
Following a long winter break the Jon44w.Com team are finally back in action bringing you the best modified car action from home and abroad. After the Passion Show in Belfast last week we travelled north of Europe up to Sweden for the famous Bilsport Custom Show. The exact location was in a place called Jonkoping which is around 2 hours north of Gothenburg and not far from the WRC location of Karlstad. The WRC a few years ago was the last time we were in Sweden and temperatures reached as low as minus 15 degrees! This time around it was not as bad but there was still plenty of snow and a low of minus 4 degrees. This did not put off......

Passion 08, Kings Hall, Belfast,
16th March 2008 |
|
The show which was billed as one of the biggest of the year and it did not disappoint with most of the best modified cars in the north attending. On show was. John Peden's latest work, which was a euro styled Clio, was one of my favourite cars on display. It was also a hot favourite with the judges but the title of best car went to the black Sierra Cosworth on the Ni-Fords stand. The Miss Passion 08 competition was won by the crowd favourite - Stacey (Site username Rs Blondie) and was very well deserved. That is the second big show in two years Stacey has one after winning Miss Cool Nights 2007......

Cool Nights, Dublin,
25th November 2007 |
|
Once again it was that time of the year for the annual Cool Nights show in the National Show Centre in Swords, Dublin. The day started off with a convoy from Sprucefield with a lot of the guys and girls from NCC. Then we had a quick stop at Newry for some breakfast and to pick up a few other people and off to Dublin. We arrived around 12pm and got into the show centre to allow people to set up there stands. The show itself, as usual, was centred on being dark and having neon’s or some sort of lighting from the cars and stands. With a prize being given for best stand at the end of the night, which again was won by Bangor Cruise with their torn inspired stand......

Athens Tuning Show, Greece,
30th September 2007 |
|
The third annual Athens tuning show took place this year at the old airport ex Olympic venue. Amazingly this fantastic venue is only used by the Athens Tuning Show since the Olympics took place there a number of years ago! As always the show comprised of a main hall, Max Power stage, outside arena, live action show and a handling circuit. There is always plenty to do for everyone and this year was no different. Well except for the heat which was very hot and well into the 30`s. Strangely though this is classed as winter for the locals and they can comfortably wear jeans and jumpers. As is tradition the show was opened by a priest who blessed......
